If the Roommate Request button is not visible, it means that your university or institution is not allowing students to select or change roommates at this time. This may be because:


  1. Your institution allows students to network for a period of time before opening roommate matching, and matching has not yet opened yet, or: 
  2. The roommate matching period is closed (temporarily or permanently) and no further matches can be made or changed.


Other possible reasons could be that:

  1. The person you are viewing is someone you are not allowed to live with
  2. You or the other person already have the maximum number of roommates, or the merging of your groups would exceed your school's maximum roommate group size.


If you believe this to be an error, or have further questions, please contact your University or Institution Housing or Residence Life Department for clarification.
